We have just released an update to smartCARS 3 that revolutionizes the way you interact with your flight tracking system.
The next time you open smartCARS you will be benefitting from new features such as automatic flight tracking when a valid bid exists, a totally revamped tracking page, showing your position in flight as well as your distance and time to go! This update removes the need for FSUIPC and XPUIPC in favour of SimConnect. This means that we are no longer able to support FS2004.
If you start your flight and the simulator crashes, you now can either cancel your flight or file your PIREP, meaning that you will always be able to file your PIREP!
For our smartCARS Pro users, you will now be able to benefit from a custom flight generation system, that will generate an endless number of flights for you that fit within your specified criteria. This new feature goes hand in hand with our existing flight schedule generation but now you will be able to generate General Aviation flights. In addition to this smartCARS now can suggest flights you may want to fly!
If you are running a Virtual Airline and you have not already updated to the latest API, you will need to do so as the latest smartCARS update will not function without an updated API.
In conjunction with this major update, we are proud to announce that our brand-new website has just gone live. Our venerable old site has served us well for many years. With our new look, we look to the future, and we hope that this new site will help us stay at the cutting edge of flight simulation.
We would also like to take this opportunity to announce that at the end of 2025, we will officially stop supporting Windows 10. Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14th, as such, we will stop supporting Windows 10 on October 31st.
