The Problem When opening smartCARS, you receive an error box stating that it cannot start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. The Resolution Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable, available here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555. The Explanation The smartCARS executable file requires specific Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries. Our installers check for and attempt to install these if they are missing, but some users may end up without them anyway. Installing these provides smartCARS the libraries it requires to function.
